New Yorkers, put away your passports – Bordeaux is coming to you!
In March 2013, the Bordeaux Wine Bureau will launch their very own, 100% Bordeaux Wine Bar, located in the elegant art-deco Carlton Hotel in New York City. A wide variety of red, white & rosé wines from all the appellations in Bordeaux will be on offer, accompanied by delicious dishes created by 2-Michelin-star Executive Chef Laurent Manrique. Manrique, owner of Millésime, the Carlton’s bustling brasserie, will also run the bar.
“This bar will also be a home away from home for all Bordeaux wine producers and négociants who would like to receive clients there, and with no corkage fee,” explained Christophe Chateau of the Bordeaux Wine Bureau. At this prime Murray Hill location (corner of 29th and Madison Avenue), New Yorkers will be able to discover the diversity and quality of the entire range of Bordeaux wines at excellent prices – without having to go to France!
The Bordeaux Wine Bar will also be available for private events for 25 to 75 people.
The New York City Bordeaux Wine Bar will be the second opened by the Bordeaux Wine Bureau, after the launch in May 2012 of the Burdigala Bordeaux Wine Bar in Shanghai. Next on the list: Hong Kong, Macao, Beijing, London, Berlin and Tokyo.
