Los Angeles International Wine Competition

2015WineLogo_ColorPlanet Bordeaux wines have received numerous accolades, most notably in the United States at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition, held every May at the Fairplex fairgrounds in Pomona, California.

For the 7th consecutive year, Planet Bordeaux wines are participating in this prestigeous competition.

In partnership with the Bordeaux & Bordeaux Supérieur AOC Winemakers’ Association, more than 180 red, white and rosé wines will be tasted blind by a panel of expert judges, such as importer Mark Newman, and Bernard Burtschy, wine writer and journalist for Le Figaro newspaper.

Planet Bordeaux wines are divided into categories by color, AOC, vintage and price ranges of 0-$15 and $15 and over. There are also wines that compete in the category of wines made with organically grown grapes.

For 76 years, the Los Angeles International Wine Competition, named by USA Today as “one of the Top Five wine competitions in the United States,” has showcased the finest domestic and international wines. Judges taste blind, maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism that has remained the competition’s foundation for 76 years.
